Notice seeking proposals for Implementation Grants for Museums and Historical Organizations.  Grants support interpretive museum exhibitions and the interpretation of historic sites, and include support for accompanying publications, websites, and public humanities programming. Public humanities programs support lifelong learning in history, literature, comparative religion, philosophy, and other fields of the humanities for broad public audiences.

ACTION:
Proposals are due by February 6, 2006.  Awards of up to $350,000 are usually made for a period of 24 to 36 months. Applicants may also request an additional $150,000 for a smaller traveling version of the proposed exhibition for a maximum total request of $500,000.

Preservation and Access Grants for Stabilizing Humanities Collections

Documenting Endangered Languages: An Interagency Partnership

The focus for the FY06 HBCU-MI solicitation includes four specific topics supporting Automated Geospatial-Intelligence Analysis (AGA) and its constituent technologies. ACTION:
Proposals are due by June 28, 2006.  The number of grants awarded is subject to the availability of funds, but it is anticipated that as many as three awards will be made this year.  The level of the HBCU-MI grant awards is, on average, about $70,000 per year/per grant.  HBCU's/MI's are eligible to apply.
