ITEM:
Notice announcing the schedule and proposed agenda of a forthcoming meeting of the National Board for Education Sciences.  On May 8th, the Board will meet to hear an update on the work of the Institute of Education Sciences (IES) and a presentation on new initiatives to serve the needs of practitioners, followed by a discussion about jointly sponsored research dissemination. On May 9th the Board will review the activities of the previous day and revise the day's agenda as needed.

ACTION:
The meeting will be held at 80 F St., N.W., Washington, DC on May 8 (from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.) and 9, 2006 (from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.).
